SPIRAL

SPIRAL is an approximately 40-minute immersive experience that brings together sound, light, and performance within a new scenic framework created by ICE3 Ensemble, in collaboration with Johannes Wernicke. The project operates at the intersection of human agency and a partially programmed system, generating a continuous dialogue between the performers and the electronic and acoustic elements.

At the core of SPIRAL are suspended springs activated by mallets, magnetic coils, sensors, and live electronics. The spiral functions as both a visual and musical organizing principle, offering a unique sensory journey in which the visual, the acoustic, and the performative are organically interwoven. Integrated LED elements enhance the connection between sound and light, transforming these objects into hybrid instruments and performative sculptures. The reuse of materials that would otherwise remain unused adds an ecological dimension to the project, turning discarded objects into artistic and sonic resources.

SPIRAL is conceived as a “one-concept performance,” a unified work that immerses the audience in a space where sound, light, and movement merge into a continuous flow. Its modular format allows it to adapt to different spaces and contexts, offering new presentation possibilities and reinforcing its potential as an international project for artistic development.
